Our Favourite Recipe for a Healthy Anzac Biscuit

Believe it or not, Anzac Day is fast approaching which means, as well as being incredibly grateful; it’s time to make Anzac biscuits. But what about if you’re on a health kick and you don’t want the buttery and golden syrup goodness of a regular Anzac Biscuit getting you off track? Don’t worry; we’ve got you covered. Here is our favourite Healthy Anzac Biscuit recipe that Is egg free, dairy free and gluten-free.

What you need:

  • 1 cup almond meal
  • 1 cup organic rolled oats
  • 1 cup organic coconut shredded
  • 1/2 cup rapadura sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons apple juice concentrate
  • 1/2 teaspoon bicarb soda
  • 1 tablespoon water


Place your almond meal, coconut, rapadura, cinnamon and the oats all together in a mixing bowl and Stir.

Pour the coconut oil and the apple juice concentrate into a small saucepan and stir over low heat.

Combine the bicarb and water, then add to the oil mix- it will froth up so don’t be alarmed.

Add the oil, bicarb and water mix to your dry mix and combine it well. Add a little water if it’s too crumbly.

With wet hands, shape small balls of the dough and place them onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper.

Bake the biscuits for 20-30 minutes and then cool them.

There you have it! A delicious, guilt-free Anzac Day treat that the whole family can enjoy.
