Pool Closure

Pool Closure

We wish to advise of the requirement to undertake essential maintenance on Prince Alfred Park that will subsequently require the temporary closure of Prince Alfred Park pool.

These repairs are being fast tracked to ensure that the pool can operate with minimal interruption throughout the spring and summer seasons.

The works being undertaken includes removal and repair of the lane markings, repair of cracked tiles in the pool shell essential pool plant maintenance and some superficial beautification works.

The works will commence on 13 July 2017 requiring full drainage of the pool and will take approximately three - four weeks to complete.  According to the schedule of works Prince Alfred Park is expected to recommence normal operations from 7 August 2017.

While we understand and appreciate the substantial impact this closure will have, we have tried to minimise the closure times to a minimum. Prince Alfred Park Pool members holding a 360 Go and 360 Active membership will have access to Cook and Phillip Park Pool, Ian Thorpe Aquatic Centre and Victoria Park Pool at no extra cost during the closure period. You will be able to scan your cards as normal for entry into these venues.
